Frequently Asked Questions

Which file formats can I upload?

JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP images and PDF files (including scanned, non-searchable PDFs). Multiple files can be selected at once.

Does it support Hindi text?

Yes. Select "Hindi" or "English + Hindi" from the language dropdown. Tesseract handles Devanagari script including mixed English-Hindi documents.

What does "Extract text between two words" do?

If you enter a start word (e.g. "Name:") and an end word (e.g. "Date:"), only the text between those two words is shown in the output. Leave both blank to see the full extracted text.

Is the extracted text accurate?

Accuracy depends on the quality of the scanned image. Clear, high-resolution scans produce the best results. For handwritten text, accuracy may vary.
